isn’t who I was 10 years ago
Back then, I was the queen of masks, always smiling, always achieving, always making sure everyone else was okay.
Growing up in a tiny village in Belgium (where everyone knew everyone and my mom was the local tarot-reading “witch”), I always felt… different.
I talked about traveling the world when others talked about staying put.
While most were building lives rooted in tradition, I was already imagining a different kind of future. One where creativity, freedom, and real connection led the way.
So I carved my own path.
At 16, I joined an event company as a student and by 19, I was an equal co-founder helping grow the business into a thriving team.
I rolled into entrepreneurship because it made more sense to me than anything ever had.
Freedom, creativity, impact… I didn’t want to wait for permission. I wanted to build a life on my own terms.
I wasn’t trying to be a boss. I was simply following my energy. Leading, creating, innovating… even when I didn’t fully realize that’s what I was doing.
A few years later, I built a marketing agency in the hospitality industry, working with global brands, partnering with my then-partner, and living a life that looked glamorous on the outside.
But inside… I felt the disconnect growing.
Each year brought more revenue, more recognition, more results and yet, a deeper ache.
More pressure to be the perfect entrepreneur.
More nights spent wondering why success felt so… heavy.
And then came the unraveling.
A business trip to Egypt cracked something open in me.
For the first time in years, I paused… and remembered I’m not a human doing. I’m a human being.
Human Design had circled into my life before, but I hadn’t let it land.
Only when life invited me to slow down did I start unraveling all the ways I’d been performing success instead of truly living it.
And just when I thought I was finally finding my rhythm…
my 9-year relationship ended.
It was a heartbreak, but also a rebirth.
The kind that strips away everything that isn’t real.
That asks you to meet yourself in the quiet.
To stop abandoning your truth just to feel safe.
To choose yourself, again and again, not in theory, but in practice.
That breakup became a portal.
Not just to healing, but to remembering.
Softness. Sovereignty. Self-trust.
And like most things in my life, the personal cracked open the professional too.
I started showing up to my business with more trust, in myself, in my timing, in what I bring.
Not by burning everything down, but by letting it get even more honest. Even more me.
Because real leadership, to me, isn’t about always having the answers.
It’s about living the questions with integrity.
It’s about building a business that holds you, instead of you holding it all alone.
These days?
Some mornings I cry in the shower. Some days I coach with fire in my voice.
Most days, I feel grounded in who I am. In what I bring. In how I serve.
And that’s the version of me who holds space for others now.
